Tractor Supply

Tractor Supply opened its doors on West Main Street in Hillsborough in 2015.  Tractor Supply is a well-known retailer that caters to rural communities by selling unique products to support their customers' rural lifestyle, from welders and generators to animal care products and men and women's workwear. The 16,000 sq. ft. building project was approved by the Planning Board in February, 2015 and in October, 2015 Tractor Supply opened for business.

Mediterrano Turkish and Mediterranean Restaurant

Mediterrano, a successful and award-winning Mediterranean restaurant, came to Hillsborough in 2013.  The owners, John Kalem and Ibrahim Bilgin, both from Turkey, renovated and aesthetically enhanced an existing retail downtown structure to provide a worldly and palate-pleasing addition to the town.

Sanel Auto Parts

Sanel Auto Parts located on Henniker Street completed a redevelopment project in 2014 which included the construction of a new energy efficient building, parking lot and vegetated buffer along the small pond located on the property.  Sanel originally occupied one of two buildings located on the site, but opted to remove both buildings and construct a brand new 8000 sq. ft. building in order to accommodate their business growth.

Osram Sylvania

Osram Sylvania is the largest employer in Hillsborough, employing approximately 700 people.  The plant has been making light bulbs since the 1950s, when the focus was on manufacturing telephone switchboard light bulbs. In the 1970s, the plant made the switch to automotive lighting, and was able to seize market share on halogen lighting for automobiles. Almost every car made in America contains Osram Sylvania bulbs made right here in Hillsborough!

Brick House Restaurant 

The Brick House Family Restaurant located on West Main St. opened its doors in 2014. Owners Mike & Kiki Mavridis who also own and run Hillsboro House of Pizza at the other end of town wanted to extend their culinary expertise to a second location and opted to renovate and redesign an existing office building in town.
